Spring Boot and Custom Configuration from properties file
I have a custom configuration class which I need to load for every single Spring Boot Application.
My configuration file has the following properties:
# Event Detail
sample.user=
sample.msg=
The class itself is located in src/main/resources/META-INF/services/sample.event.configuration.
At the moment my configuration class is located in src/main/java and I have a properties file in src/main/resources/META-INF/services/sample.event.configuration.properties.
I am using spring-boot-starter-parent 2.0.4.RELEASE.
I tried to load the configuration like so:
@Bean
public SpringApplicationBuilder springApplication() {
return new SpringApplicationBuilder(SampleEventApplication.class)
.sources(SampleEventApplication.class

The sound of a city from a distant observation point is usually dominated by the sounds produced by buildings. This is because, unlike natural or rural landscapes, urban settings generally lack a lot of topographical features and surfaces that naturally reflect or absorb sound, such as grassy fields or trees.
And this is why city ambience has long been a strong influence on music. Urban influences can be heard in everything from jazz to rock to electronic music.
The same is true of ambiences for game development. A city ambient has many characteristic sounds including cars honking, trains passing by, people chatting, birds singing, sirens, planes flying overhead, etc.
Given this, it’s fairly common for city games to feature dense urban areas with lots of ambient sounds. In a previous article we looked at how to create a train ambient for example. And last year we looked at a basic city ambient made using AmbienceComp.
But where there’s a market for one, there’s a need for more.
AmbienceComp is an ambience engine for Unreal Engine. It allows you to quickly create natural sounding cities using real-world data.
However, it lacks the ability to manipulate the source audio, so any sounds that aren’t included in the sample data will sound unnatural.
This is especially true when the game is focused on the environment, such as the city environment we mentioned above.
There are plenty of city ambiences out there in the Unreal Engine Marketplace, however they tend to be pre-compiled city ambiences. While these are good for inspiration, you usually have to make many changes to get the effect you want.
That’s because most of the included sounds are automatically generated by the engine using Unreal Audio. And these sounds can’t be directly modified by the user.
This can result in the overall ambience sounding somewhat dull and generic, even if it sounds very good in isolation.
This is the main reason why a city ambience is so important, so I thought it might be worth exploring how to do it from scratch.
The Solution
In this article we’ll go over how

Q:
How do I get a chrome extension to load certain pages in multiple tabs using a single extension manifest?
I’m trying to make a chrome extension that loads pages from a specified set of domains into a set of tabs for the purpose of scraping data from said pages. This extension would basically work like a browser, but only load specified pages (with certain data pulled from those pages) into tabs.
The current Manifest for my extension works like this:
manifest.json
{
« name »: « tabs extensions »,
« version »: « 1.0 »,
« description »: « Extension to simulate a browser tab »,
« browser_action »: {
« default_icon »: « icon.png »,
« default_popup »: « popup.html »
},
« permissions »: [
« tabs », « activeTab »
]
}
popup.html
This is the popup!
